Dal punto di vista del design, abbiamo un device con scocca in vetro ed alluminio, caratterizzato da un'unità display Super AMOLED da 5.1 pollici di diagonale con risoluzione 2K 2560 x 1440 pixel, protezione Corning Gorilla Glass 4 ed una densità di pixel di 576 PPI.
Lato hardware il Samsung Galaxy S6 è mosso dal processore octa–core Samsung Exynos 7 Octa 7420 con architettura ARMv8-A a 64 bit: 4 x Cortex-A57 da 2.1 GHz + 4 x Cortex-A53 da 1.5 GHz. La parte grafica è affidata alla GPU ARM Mali-T760 MP8, mentre lato memorie troviamo 3 GB di RAM LPDDR4 e 32/64/128 GB di memoria interna di tipo UFS 2.0 non espandibile.
